Can we get 100 followers?
I know it’s going to be sporty, but we can do it!
It’s been a difficult time for new writers, especially with a deadline to reach one hundred followers by the end of the year. Deadlines always add more pressure to people, but that pressure can be extremely good! The requirements to stay in the partner program can be seen as a goal instead of an obstacle! I’d prefer to build a community instead of just trying to reach the 100 follower mark, try to build a community, but time is of the essence!
The strategy I’ve followed, and want to continue to follow is rooted in building genuine connections. Even though I’m close to the goal, I’m not going to go and find other people to follow for a follow back because that’s not a good strategy. Instead, I want people to have a chat or discussion about an article and have connections as real as can be here. The ultimate goal is to create a community, and follow for follow is not the way to go!
As this is the case, I realize that I’ve had a very long hiatus. Over the last three months, I’ve had time to make up my mind about the 100 follower “goal” for the partner program. I started writing in May, and had zero followers to begin with. Now, at the time of this writing, I have 94 followers! This is absolutely crazy to me! It’s beyond my wildest dreams, especially with my hiatus. I assumed everything would slow down, but I was wrong. With this in mind, I’d like to say “Thank you!” to everyone who has supported me, as it’s been very encouraging!
The only big question I’ve got left is how to get six more followers, but we’ll see if we can hit that goal if you leave a follow. I’ll follow back, and try to read some of your content as well!
